GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – The hot weather is here and there is no better place to spend your weekend outdoors with goats and sheep or try fresh Pure Michigan maple syrup. Take a look at what’s happening around West Michigan!

BABY SCREENS AND SAINTS AT THE CRITERION BAR

Sheep, goats and kittens, oh! Stop by the Critter Barn this Saturday from 10am to 5pm to see all the animals they have to offer. You can even try your hand at bottle-feeding newborn bulls or milking a goat. There is so much to look like this spring at Critter Barn that you will not miss it.

JENNISON TRAFFIC CAR

Join Cedar Church for their first Car Treasure Hunt. This will be a free evening of fun and prizes. Get a treasure map of the church from 1-4pm and then start the treasure hunt around the area parks. Participants who complete the hunt will be accepted to win a free family weekend at the Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City.

MICHIGANO SYROURI FESTIVAL

Go out for something sweet at Maple Row Sugar House this weekend. The Michigan Maple Syrup Festival offers everything for a pancake breakfast with Pure Michigan Maple Syrup in a coloring contest and a zoo. Also, enjoy free tours of pastry and fresh maple syrup. All this and much more this weekend from 10am – 4pm.

WORLD SUBSIDY DAY AT FELLINLOVE FARM

Throw your crazy socks this Sunday at Fellinlove Farm to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. In promoting awareness, acceptance, inclusion and celebration of people with Down Syndrome, Fellinlove Farms offers farm trips, pony rides, nature walks and more. Stop from 2pm – 4pm to celebrate.

DINO LITTLE LEAPERS IN SKY ZONE GRAND RAPIDS

Kids ages 7 and under fall into the Sky Zone Grand Rapids this Saturday at 10am for a two-hour dinosaur bouce. OPEN SACKET IN CEDAR ROCK SPORTS PLEX

If your child is hockey or skating or just enjoying ice skating, head to the Cedar Rock Sports Plex on Saturday from 13:00 to 13:00 for open skating! Every Saturday in March, they host open skating from 13:00 to 13:00, you can find out more on their website.

VIRTUAL SAFARI WITH JOHN BALL ANIMAL

John Ball Zoo offers Virtual Safaris every weekend! This Saturday at 10am, sign up with them for 30 minutes up close and personal information on various animals. MARCH STORYWALK BOOK IN HASTINGS

The March Storywalk book at Hastings is free, educational and outdoors! Grab the kids and walk through the Pierce Cedar Creek Institute reading We Are Water Protectors. The book is the winner of the Caldecott Metal of 2021 for the Distinguished American Children’s Picture Book and follows the journey of a young Native girl as it reminds us that we are all together on Mother Earth to help protect water.

PARKING STAGE AT THE RAPIDIS ART MUSEUM

The Grand Rapids Art Museum houses a drop-in studio. Learn how to make a 3D paper bouquet card from 1pm to 2pm.
