Dolly Parton to Join Brandi Carlile on Virtual Book Tour

On April 6, six-time Grammy winner Brandi Carlile will release the Broken Horses memoir. To celebrate, he announced an upcoming virtual book tour, with conversations with Dolly Parton, author Glennon Doyle, former White House photographer Pete Souza and more.
Parton Music Icon will join Carlile for a virtual chat on April 8th. the event is organized by the books of Parnassos of Nashville.
Broken Horses dates Carlile’s life and career, from the first song contests to the big break for the Dave Matthews Band. In 2005, he released his debut album entitled. By 2007, he had won AAA radio success with “The Story”. In 2017, she became a Grammy of Love, thanks to her song “The Joke” and the album By The Way, I Forgive You. The song was nominated for Song of the Year and Record of the Year, while the album was nominated for Album of the Year. That year, he took home America’s Best Album, Best American Roots and Best American Roots Performance. He also gave an inflatable rendition of “The Joke” during the broadcast.
Along the way, Carlile worked with Elton John, Parton, Pearl Jam, Joni Mitchell, Maren Morris, Dierks Bentley and others, and raised her two children with his wife Catherine.
In 2019, Carlile joined forces with Tanya Tucker to produce Tucker ‘s album While I’m Livin’, along with Shooter Jennings. He also wrote most of the songs in the play, including “Bring My Flowers Now”. The song and album won Tucker the first Grammy Awards for Best Country Album and Best Country Song in 2019.
She followed Tucker to form The Highwomen with Maren Morris, Amanda Shires and Natalie Hemby. The band recently won the Grammy for Best Country Song for their song “Crowded Table”.
Carlile Parton’s upcoming virtual chat is not the first time the two top performers have joined forces. Parton entered the past with Carlile and the rest of The Highwomen in 2019 for a show at the Newport Folk Festival. Parton collaborated with The Highwomen on “Jolene”, “Just Because IA Woman” and “Eagle When She Flies”, and also starred with Carlile in “I Will Always Love You”.
